Going through the recruitment process at any school brings on a range of emotions. One minute you're smiling ear to ear and the next you could be shedding tears after watching a philanthropy video. Being part of such a small Greek community at Kutztown University, potential new members are able to get a feel for each sorority on campus and begin to understand what their values are. With the help of their Pi Gamma groups, the PNMs are able to connect with women in every chapter on campus to find their forever home. The process of recruitment can be extremely overwhelming and stressful, but nothing beats watching our new member class run into the arms of our sisters on bid day. Becoming part of a greek organization helps young women succeed in their academics, volunteer for community service, and to better themselves as individuals.

Being Vice President of Recruitment, it is my responsibility to prepare our sisters to recruit the best women to add to our chapter. It's an amazing feeling knowing that the women running out to us on bid day are here because of successful effort of our chapter as a whole. The feelings of our values- justice, sisterhood, and love, are shown in our room throughout recruitment and we take pride in being able to show our values to our potential new members. Delta Phi Epsilon has shown me how to be an independent woman and fight for the things that I believe in. It has shown me that sisterhood isn't just for four years but it is for life. I will always have the friends and the bonds that I created within my four years here at Kutztown for the rest of my life.

Recruitment is always on our minds. Because of COVID we were unable to have an in person recruitment last year! I know that everyone is already excited to have an in-person recruitment. We can't wait for our Kappa class to come home to us this September.

Recruitment Through The Eyes of a Potential New Member:

Sophomore, Maria Clark - "Going through recruitment was honestly so fun! Of course I was extremely nervous but the girls made me feel so comfortable and accepted. My recruitment was via Zoom so I didn't get to actually interact with the girls as much as I would've if it was in person, but the rils had tons of chat rooms where we could ask questions! I have never met such a genuine group of girls!"
