Yes girl, we feel you....
It's that time in the semester where everything seems to be due at once and deadlines are creeping up.... we get it, breathe. Our sisters have a few tips to help easy those mid-semester meltdowns and boost your GPA. We will keep this short and sweet because trust me.... I know you have that paper you should be working on. Yeah, I know you're procrastinating something girl, but don't worry.
Headphones In, World Out
Sometimes blasting your music and focusing in on your assignments is the best thing you can do. Tuning out the world and figuring out what is due, when, and how many points it is worth can be stressful but it is sooooo worth it. So creep around on Spotify, find your study tunes playlist and crack open that textbook that has been in the corner of your room since break.
Make a Master Timeline of Assignments
Again, this seems super overwhelming but it has helped me in ways I can't explain. So at this point we have about five weeks left, so here's the plan. Get ALL of your class syllabi and start figuring out what you have left. Make an organized timeline of what is due for each class and you can classify with stuff like point values, but that's only if you're feeling fancy. You can graph it on Excel, print it out and keep it in your class binder. Pro tip: do this during Syllabus Week, you'll thank me.
Find a Study Buddy in Your Classes
At this point in the semester you have your go to people in your classes, use those people to your advantage. Find a quiet area, bring your homework and bounce ideas off of each other. Sometimes the people that you have sat next to for the whole semester can help you study the best! So reach out to that cool guy in your history class, and who knows...maybe you'll have a new man and a you'll get an A on your exams.
Met With Your Advisor
Actually do it.... these people are literally PAIDDDD to help you. Schedule your advisement and take advantage of that time with your advisor because they can be pretty helpful. Go in with questions prepared about what classes to take in the upcoming semesters and get some reference points of who to talk to.
Our seeeesters are wishing you nothing but scholarly success and smiles for the rest of this semester. Keep your grades up and keep your support system close. YITS!
