Where Are They Now: Deepher Alaina
Alaina Klause was apart of the Founding Class. During her time in Zeta Gamma she served as our Vice President of Programming. Her major was Clinical Psychology and she graduated in 2017. She is currently attending Villanova University Grad School for a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Alaina works full-time as a therapeutic interventionist in a elementary school right outside of Philly. There she provides therapeutic services both in school and in the homes of her clients while working with individuals and their families. "It has been such rewarding work to see my clients continue to make progress and grow."
Exciting news alert!! Alaina just accepted an internship at an Eating Disorder Mental Health Treatment Program. During her time with the program she will be a therapist intern for those struggling with eating disorders, starting in August!
"Thankful for DPhiE for sparking my interest in helping this population and I can't wait to serve those struggling with this disorder."~ Alaina Klause
When asked what skills Delta Phi Epsilon provided her with, Alaina responded, "Leadership for sure. Also the passion to continue work with our philanthropy. I've been inspired by the stories at our vigils and the work we have done with the amazing organizations. Our organization empowers women and I continue to do so every day."
Some fun facts about this beautiful ray of sunshine is that she finished her first year of Grad School with a 4.0 GPA. Yes folks, you read that right. She got a 4.0 at Villanova. It's not just beauty, its brains! On top of her scholarly success, Alaina spends her time fostering five baby kittens which have become her own little children. Her kindness has taken her so far and continues to do so everyday. Alaina is one of the founders of the Sunflower Family along with Liv Harwick (Coordinator of Formal Recruitment), her "gorgeous, fierce twin" and Mia Nightingale, her "precious, beautiful little." Alaina has been described by sisters as "kind, determined, bubbly, genuine and reliable." She did amazing things within our chapter of Delta Phi Epsilon and has taken that drive with her into the real world.
Alaina says that her favorite memory from her time in Delta Phi Epsilon was "Being surrounded by inspiring women that lead me to gain confidence in myself as well as empower others." We are so inspired by our caring and courageous sister. You are doing amazing Alaina and we are so excited to be here for you every step of the way.
