Social Work-It Ladies!

We can't believe the time has come where we are saying good-bye to the people that founded this beautiful organization that we are lucky to call home. These wonderful women have been shaping the Zeta Gamma Chapter since the very beginning. As Ali, Amanda and Ashley all were apart of the Founding Class in Fall 2015, they have grown alongside this chapter in immense ways. Through Sisterhood Retreats, Rituals, Late Night Study Sessions and numerous Bid Days, these ladies have been here through it all. As their time at Kutztown has come to a close, we wanted to take the time to highlight the uniqueness and incredible successes of each of these women. Thank you for all that you have done for this chapter. Thank you for taking a chance on something and sticking with us through the good and the bad. All three of you are destined for great success and the Social Work world just got a heck of a lot stronger. We love you endlessly, YITS.

Ali Pottebaum is apart of the Founders Class of Fall 2015 and graduated with her Bachelors Degree in Social Work. During her time in Delta Phi Epsilon, Ali has served as our Member at Large and our President. While she served on our Leadership Team, Ali shaped our chapter and made lasting impressions on our sisters and the Greek community. Some of Ali's favorite memories in DPhiE were Big/Little Reveal and Sisterhood Retreats. At Kutztown Ali was a apart of the National Society of Leadership and Success. She also dedicated her four years to volunteering and being involved with the Special Olympics of Pennsylvania where she served as the Competition Director for the Eastern Spring Sectional. Ali also spent the year interning at Hope Rescue Mission in Reading. Not only did Ali change our lives, but the lives of so many others. In the future she plans to move to Virginia with her boyfriend and begin looking for a job in the Social Work Field with a focus on the Homeless Population. You will move mountains, Ali. We love you.

"Zeta Gamma thank you for giving me the opportunity to grow in these past three years; you have taught me to be a strong leader, a better student, and best friend. There is no amount of words to represent how thankful I am for the organization that gave me my sisters, roommates, & future bridesmaids." ~Ali Pottebaum, Spring 2018

"I can’t believe that the time for you to leave me is already here! It seems unfair how little time I have had with you. Thank you so much for everything you have done for me, and thank you for being you. You, Ali, are the one who has made this sorority my home away from home. I hate to say goodbye because you truly have become my better half, my best friend, and my role model all in one person. I know it’s not a goodbye forever, but the thought of not having you around at all times makes me stress about what I will do next year without you. I know for a fact that you will do amazing once you are out in the real world. You are the most kind-hearted, compassionate, and caring person I know. Your big heart and constant consideration for others will help to guide you through the rest of your life. I love you endlessly and know that you will do remarkable things." ~Paetyn Klinger

Amanda Phillips is a member of the Founding Class of Fall 2015 and graduated with her Bachelors Degree in Social Work. Amanda's two favorite memories from her time in Delta Phi Epsilon were opening her bid and Big/Little Reveal. During her time as a sister of DPhiE, Amanda held the position of ANAD Coordinator, a philanthropy that is close to our hearts. Amanda's ability to plan and execute events made ANAD Week beyond successful and created memories that will last a lifetime. In the Fall Amanda will be continuing her education at Kutztown University while pursuing her Masters in Social Work. She will also be interning with CONCERN, a local program which works to provide welfare, justice and services for youth. Proud is an understatement, Amanda. You are changing the world with every step you take and we cannot wait to see what you do next. Don't forget to stop by and say hi in the Fall! Love you girl!

Liz, we were a match made for each other, you are most definitely past me and I can't wait to see all of the incredible things you do for this chapter, with your academics, and more importantly for yourself. I love you lil" ~Amanda Phillips, Spring 2018

"Manda, Thanks for always being there and always looking out for me. I can't put it in words how much I appreciate you. I'm excited to spend more time with you while you're in grad school. I'm also excited to see you do great things and take on the real world. Love you always ~Liz Collins

Ashley Mest is a member of the Founding Class of Fall 2015 and graduated with her Bachelors Degree in Social Work. During her time in Delta Phi Epsilon Ashley has served as the Fundraising Coordinator and the Vice President of Programming. Ashley has been a huge part of planning successful events and branding our chapter in the best way possible. She has worked hard to put on programs for all of our Philanthropy events and we will miss her eye for decision making. Ashley's favorite moments in DPhiE were on Bid Day 2017 when her rush crush came running to her and Big/Little Reveal. In the fall Ashley will be pursuing her Masters in Social Work here at Kutztown University. During her Masters Program, Ashley will be working part time as a Therapeutic Support Staff for Elementary Age Kids with Behavioral Issues at Creative Health Services. Simply Amazing. Ashley, we wish you nothing but the best and can't wait to still be seeing you around campus!

"Zeta Gamma, Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be a leader and letting me grow over the years. Lex: Thank you for being my mini me. Having you run out to me during bid day and turning around to see me at big/little are my favorite memories of the sorority. You are beautiful, powerful and will do big things. I can't wait to cheer you on. I love you smalls." ~Ashley Mest, Spring 2018

"Ash, thank you for everything you have done for me and for always being there for me when I couldn't handle myself. I cannot wait to make more memories with you and see you make it out there in the real world. But if there's one thing I can tell you that is, "If you can make it through the night, there's a brighter day." You're going to soar mountains out there in the real world, Biggie and I couldn't be any more proud of everything you've accomplished. Love you endlessly." ~Lexi Strunk

"My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to, Your dreams stay big, your worries stay small, You never need to carry more than you can hold, And while you're out there getting where you're getting to ,I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too, Yeah, this, is my wish~ Rascal Flatts, My Wish
